Community Fundraising Manager
18 hours per week for LWCA (Leeds Weekend Care Association)
18 hours per week for SNAPS (Special Needs and Parent Support)
£24,000 per annum pro rata

In an innovative move, working together for the first time, LWCA and SNAPS are advertising jointly for a Community Fundraising Manager to make a huge difference to both charities. The role will be split equally between the two organisations, with separate reporting lines. Both are local charities offering specialist activities for children with additional needs and support for their siblings and families, and both are keen to recruit a Community Fundraising Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to make their mark on these wonderful charities.
Both SNAPS and LWCA are at different stages of their development, and so offer different opportunities for action and growth, to help shape how they both move forward. Therefore we have created a new position of Community Fundraising Manager to help both organisations grow our income and ultimately allow us to consolidate and expand our delivery further. In LWCA you will work alongside the Short Breaks Services Manager and in SNAPS you’ll report to the Project Manager. Both charities already work with a Trusts and Grants Fundraiser, so the Community Fundraising Manager will be responsible for generating additional funds from:
LWCA and SNAPS Events, and Sponsored Activities
Community Organisations and Community Activities
Local and National Events such as the Great North Run and Leeds 10KM
Working with members of both organisations
The successful individual will be enthusiastic, passionate, organised, self-motivating, personable and will have a proven track record of generating funds through community activities. They will be responsible for their own budget and expected to recruit and work with volunteers to increase income. The Community Fundraising Manager will be the face of SNAPS and LWCA in the community and so will thrive on meeting new people and presenting both organisations in a professional manner to a variety of audiences.
