On 15th September SNAPS superhero India Tod climbed Scafell Pike to raise funds for SNAPS!
7-year-old India decided to take on the challenge with her dad because of her cousin Olive, who is supported by SNAPS. “I absolutely love Olive because she always smiles,” said India. “I want to help her because I know things are difficult for her. I know she loves her sessions in the pool and so if I help SNAPS that helps Olive.
“I also know how much SNAPS has helped my Aunty Liszi and Uncle George and want to do something to help them too.”
India describes herself as independent and active, having taught herself to ride a bike and swim; she also takes part in dance classes and shows. She likes to climb the fells and play in the lakes of the Lake District, where she lives.
Before the challenge, India said “I am feeling both nervous and excited, I like to call this nervacitis! I am determined to get to the top and will be very pleased when I do it, and probably very tired!”
After India and her dad completed the climb, India’s mum, Ellie, got in touch to tell us: “She had a great time and is so pleased with the achievement!”
A huge thank you to India for taking on such a brilliant challenge to support SNAPS and well done for reaching the top!
