We know that the most recent local lockdown has had huge impacts on many of our families wellbeing. In conjunction with some of the SNAPS families, Lucy Owen, Chief Executive of SNAPS will be writing to our local MPs and key members of Leeds City Council to ask for families with children with additional needs to be treated like single people and therefore allowed to form a bubble with another household to give you the support that you need to get through this pandemic.
We have also produced an easy to use template of a letter which YOU can send if you choose to do so. We have given you the email addresses for the key people at Leeds City Council and links to find your local MP and ward councillors to make it as easy as possible for you to make your voice heard. If this is something you are passionate about, please take part and send the letter. The more people who speak up, the more chance we have of having our voices heard.
If you have any questions please do get in touch firstname.lastname@example.org
SNAPS have received a response to Lucy’s letter from Cllr Fiona Venner, Executive Member for Children and Families. You can read the letter here: letter Cllr Venner to SNAPS
