For the first time ever, SNAPS will be represented at the London Marathon in April 2019!
Victoria Hull will be taking on this epic challenge on 28th April to raise funds for SNAPS. Victoria was inspired to run the marathon to support SNAPS because of her friend Leigh’s daughter, Edie. Edie receives physiotherapy from SNAPS and Victoria wanted to raise funds to support this service.
Victoria is no stranger to running for charity, having completed the Yorkshire 10 Mile last October in aid of SNAPS. The London Marathon will be a brand new challenge for Victoria and a real mark of the progress she has made since starting to run last year to train for the 10 Mile.
Victoria said: ‘I am honoured to be representing SNAPS at the London Marathon this year. This is an opportunity and challenge of a lifetime for me.
‘Training has gone well so far; coming from someone with no running background or experience to doing the London Marathon, I will give it my all on the day. The nerves are starting to kick in but I am looking forward to the challenge!’
Jenny Sellers, Community Fundraising Manager, said: ‘I was so excited to hear from Victoria saying she had been successful in the London Marathon ballot and that she wanted to run it for SNAPS! Running a marathon is a huge deal and we at SNAPS are so grateful to Victoria for committing to this challenge to support the children with additional needs that we work with.’
