SNAPS is thrilled to introduce you to Helen Wells. Helen joins the SNAPS team as Community Fundraising manager.
This appointment represents the commitment and ambition SNAPS has to be a cornerstone for families with children of complex needs in West Yorkshire and to ensure it’s sustainability for years to come.
Helen is Yorkshire born and bred with a background in Event Management. Upon finishing her degree at Leeds Metropolitan University, Helen worked on many events in the not for profit sector which led to her choosing to fundraise as a career focus some 7 years ago.
Helen has raised funds in all manner of ways from Gala dinners to walks and runs to skydiving which Helen actually did herself. Helen jumped 15,000 feet from a plane in a fantastic effort to raise money for the charity she worked for. She also completed the Yorkshire Marathon last year so Helen certainly practises what she preaches.
Helen is Leeds based with two children and is looking forward to getting started. Helen says that she is busy planning a programme of events, campaigns and activities that can be shared amongst the community that not only generates funds for SNAPS but awareness too and is delighted to be joining the team
I hope you can join us this Saturday at Penny Fields where Helen will be on hand to meet as many of you as possible.
