An inclusive family fun day, giving children the opportunity to take part in a tailored fun run. Participants can walk, run or wheel around the track as far as they would like to. Everyone receives a medal and goodie bag for taking part in their own personal challenge. We want all our kids to feel like a superhero for the day!

At SNAPS, we receive no government funding to provide our services so we rely on kind, compassionate people like you to support us.
We are asking those taking part to try and raise as much sponsorship as they can, with a minimum sponsorship target of just £100. This would fund approximately two vital physiotherapy sessions for a child with additional needs, helping children like Henry…

Referrals for our new site are now open. If you would like to apply, please complete a referral form and a member of the SNAPS team will be in touch.

This award recognises excellence in charity governance, and celebrates outstanding contributions made by charity boards and trustees. We’re incredibly proud that the hard work and dedication of the SNAPS Board of Trustees is being recognised in this way.

We have a fresh look (kind of)!
Our logo still has the same bright and colourful look, but you may notice a small change. We’ve simplified the design and removed the tagline of “Special Needs and Parent Support”. We think that this updated name better reflects who we are today and the positive and inclusive work that we do.
Rest assured, we’re still the same SNAPS! Our mission hasn’t changed: we’re here to provide vital support to children with additional needs and their families.

Today is World Book Day, a day to celebrate reading for fun.
We love books at SNAPS. Reading can be such a fun and rewarding experience for all children, no matter their age or ability. It offers countless benefits for development and wellbeing – fostering speech and language development, enhancing creativity and imagination, promoting empathy, and helping to reduce stress and anxiety.
At SNAPS, we see storytelling as a powerful way to bring families together, creating connections that go beyond the page. We especially love to see books where children with additional needs are represented in a positive way. It can really help to nurture self-esteem and confidence when children are able to identify with the characters,

We are thrilled to share the exciting news that SNAPS is continuing to grow!
Due to increasing demand for our services, we will be launching sessions at a brand-new site:
Co-op Academy Brierley, located on Cross Green Lane, East Leeds.
This is in addition to our existing services and will allow us to support even more children and families across the region, as well as offer some new and exciting services to our current families.
We are planning to launch this new site in September 2025, with additional sessions including sensory, rebound therapy, stay and play and more.
This expansion will not affect our current provision at Penny Field and Broomfield – they will continue to operate as usual.

We are very excited to be able to extend our support to more families and widen the range of services we offer. We look forward to this next chapter for SNAPS!
Over the last 18 months we have been lucky enough to have the support of the wonderful team at Strata.
Not only have the Strata team raised a significant sum of money for SNAPS, but they have provided us with support and advice, attended our events and even created a film for us (which you can view here).
This week we found out their final fundraising total for SNAPS: an incredible £125,743.84!
These funds are will help us to maintain our vital services supporting children with additional needs and their families. We cannot thank the Strata team enough for their support.
